[Listen/Download] – Tu Fawning

Tu Fawning have been around for a couple of years now, releasing a debut miniature-sized album back in 2008 called “Secession” on Polyvinyl and Discourage Records.

Yesterday CitySlang announced that they’ll be releasing their debut full-length LP on October 5th in the U.S., and November 1st in Europe.  You might’ve heard of some of the members before, the band being fronted by Joe Haege from Menomena and Corrina Repp who does her own solo stuff as well as plays in Viva Voce.  ”Secession” was a joyous six-song journey through atmospheric Indie-Pop music, drawing comparisons from Beirut with the horn hooks, to Regina Spektor with the piano parts.

There are three songs for you to listen to below, two from “Secession” and one from their upcoming album “Hearts On Hold”.
