[Listen/Download] – Two More Brand New Songs By Brandon Flowers

I’m not sure how many more songs from his album are going to be played on the radio and subsequently ripped, but I don’t suppose it’s a bad thing, right?

Just a few days ago I posted FOUR more new songs from his album “Flamingo”, that’s on top of the already radio-ripped “Swallow It” and “Crossfire”, and now there are these two which apparently appear as bonus tracks on the deluxe edition.  I can’t remember the site that I found them on, so apologies for the lack of “via” linkage, but give them a listen and see what you think.

You can buy “Flamingo” from here:

So how are you feeling about this album so far? I’m still a bit unsure of it… it’s always hard for me to understand why singers in bands need to go solo… especially when the band they’re in is SO strong.

Unless the going solo is a foreshadow of what’s to come with the band… and The Killers are just too good to go away.

I can understand someone going solo if they want to make music that’s different than the rest of the band, however it’s rare for me to get into someone’s solo stuff, it just seems to samey.

As for Flamingo I haven’t actually listened to it yet, but I don’t have high hopes.

Alright, you’re both misinformed, which a lot of people are. Please inform yourselves. He has NOT gone solo. This is a SIDE project. BF wanted to keep going based on energy, material, inspiration. The rest of the band wanted to take a break. They all agreed: go for it, do you side thing. He’s one of the few front men of great bands that can get away with doing this. “Flamingo” is a very solid album, through and through (have heard the whole thing, several times.) It is really rather autobiographical, and spiritual. It’s incredible how he does not hit you over the head with the spirituality, but then again, he’s so talented that it comes as no surprise how well he has done it.

I think you’re being slightly pedantic.

It’s a solo album. He’s not backed up by The Killers. It doesn’t have The Killers’ name anywhere on it, therefore 9/10 kittens would prefer “Solo” as the term used here.
