With “Sidewalks”, the follow up to the insanely catchy and danceable second album “Grand”, coming out tomorrow (November 2nd), Matt & Kim have released a couple of new tunes for us greedy bastards to whet our smiley appetites until we can get our hands (or mouse-clicks) on the album itself.
It only seems like a few weeks ago, but it was actually back at the very end of August when they unleashed the fucking huge and contagious “Cameras”, and these two new tracks are both pretty tight too, “Good For Great” being synth-led and a little more down-tempo than “Cameras”, at points having an almost Hip-Hop vibe. ”Block After Block” has another giant beat and also leads with synths that sounds like a couple of cuts from Sleigh Bells’ “Treats”; the synths looking to be a theme on the new album.
