Two new songs (the band got in touch with me and mentioned that these two “new” songs were actually done before their demo EP and that actual new songs are on the way. Fuck yeah!) from New Jersey’s Slow Animal, taken from a cassette-released EP on Trivial Pursuit.
Previously featured on the site back in July with five buzz-filled, Lo-Fi-driven summer noise-jams, these are the first new tunes in a few months and can be heard along with four other songs, all previously released for free that can be heard here.
It’s good to know they’re writing and recording some new tunes so maybe an LP is in the wings. One can only hope, but in the meantime, cop that cassette, and by the looks of it there are still copies of their 7″ they released on Jaxart a few months back. They’ve also just been confirmed to play at WLFY’s CMJ showcase so if you’re going to CMJ, get on that!
