I think I just fell in love…again. The Fair Ohs are the whole package – funny, quirky, witty, and talented musicians who will rock your face off.
When I started “researching” about the Fair Ohs, I naturally went to their website/blog first and there they asked me “Do you want to blog about us? Yes or No?” My interest peaked, I clicked “Yes,” and voila! “Everything you always wanted to know about Fair Ohs but were too lazy to research yourself.” Well if you are too lazy to click on the link above, I shall paraphrase the highlights (or for kicks, I dare you to click “No” on their website).
This new trio - Eddy Frankel (“plays guitar and sings”), Matt Flag (“plays bass and sings”), Joe Ryan (“plays drums”) – is originally from London, England and are currently unsigned and promoting their new album “Everything is Dancing”. Their newest single, “Baldessari,” is hard rock and roll, mixed with harmonies that are borderline off pitch (but it works), making the track fun and alluring. While we’ve all heard rock bands come and go, Fair Ohs pull their inspiration from unlikely sources that creates an eclectic and refreshing new sound. Their inspirations include “West African funk, 60′s Psycheldic Rock, Eritrean Guayla music and a whole heap of Fleetwood Mac.” Admit it, we all went through a Fleewood Mac phase.
Since Fair Ohs are unsigned, you can download their new album for free on their website. The gift that keeps on giving. Don’t bother telling the Fair Ohs “I love you,” they will just answer with “We love us too.”
