Not content with having the #1 album of 2011, site faves 1,2,3 are starting off 2012 in nonchalant and relaxed fashion by offering up a brand new EP for you to get your paws on for free.
As the band tend to be pretty awesome dudes, they’ve written, recorded, and released this new EP “Dreamland PT. 1 (For Daisy)”entirely for free, but all with one goal in mind: To help you sleep at night. No really, that was their intention when they recorded it, and this EP is like listening to The Beatles‘ songs “I’m So Tired” and “Good Night” mixed with the unrestrained minimalism of Sigur Rós rolled delicately into a soft ball of sleep (the stuff you find in your eyes after you wake up). Here’s what singer Nic had to say about:
“HAPPY NEW YEAR! This is a lullaby, EP tha was recorded for my baby niece, Daisy. It was initially intended for her and my family only, but I ended up getting very involved in the production of it and at the suggestion of my bandmates (while collaborating with them on it’s finishing touches and the second track, “It Gets Dark”) I decided to let anyone who wants to hear it, hear it.
It’s aim is slumber–especially on it’s second half–so if you are remotely drowsy I wouldn’t suggest driving around jamming on it.
It mostly flows together, as well, so I recommend completely downloading it and transferring it to your iTunes before listening.

The band were nice enough to give us the premiere of the new EP which you can listen to and download below (or if those downloads run out, snag it here),but it’s best listened to on speakers or as you sleep, but either way you gotta give it all of your attention. If this is how 2012 is starting then we’re in for one hell of a year.
