“What about the sound of tomorrow?” She & Him’s new video for “Don’t Look Back,” asks us ironically. I say ironically because the video actually takes us back to the good ‘ole days of bright patterns, darling naivete, and oddly colored furniture with names like “sweet pea green,” “morning yellow daisy,” and “razzle dazzle red.” The playful video starts out like an old public service announcement and ends with a full out dance number that just makes the video so damn adorable.
I have a total girl-crush on Zooey Deschanel, the She to M. Ward’s Him. Her endearing personality shines through so much that you can’t help just smile while watching the video.
The concept, the production, and the direction of the whole video is fantastic, and I personally love the dance moves.
