[Announcing] – Le Garage From Listen Before You Buy

If we didn’t all love music then we wouldn’t be here, but often overlooked are the videos that accompany the music, and even more overlooked are the directors and producers who put their time and effort and money into making them, which is why I’ve started Le Garage.

Before I get into the details, let me explain the name.  Le Garage is the name of the first track on the debut album by The Futureheads, and it’s one of my favourite songs of theirs, but I also wanted a name that might denote something homegrown, organic, and unseen, like so many of the bands and corporations that started by a few guys doing their thing in a garage..  The name is also a weak attempt at an homage to La Blogotheque, arguably the leader and “first” to present music through videos in the way we see today from sites like Yours Truly.  Thirdly, it’s also central in another new feature closely tied to the main theme of Le Garage, unfortunately I can’t let you in on that just yet.

The premise is simple.  Multiple times every day I’ll showcase the most beautiful, groundbreaking, unique, stunning, and otherwise awesome music videos that are coming out today along with some that just can’t be passed up from yesteryear, but with the focus being on the video and not the music.  Some of the vids have music that I don’t like, but the visuals are killer and they’ll be presented in a big window and having nothing more than the director/producer, artist, and links to connect with both.  Does it need to be anything else?
