[Contest] – Win Every Album On Our Best Albums Of 2011 List!

When we did our Best Albums Of 2010 list I ran a contest at the same time to win the top 3 albums on the list on vinyl, and for 2011 we’ve kicked it up a notch.

Last year the top three vinyls came out of my own pocket, a pocket that wasn’t particularly deep to begin with. This year however we’ve got something pretty special. For the last month or so I’ve been writing to the artists, labels, and PR firms on our list to try to get a hold of their albums on vinyl for you to win, and I’ve managed (so far) to get a hold of at least 20 of the top 31 albums on our list.

Most of them are on vinyl but some weren’t even released on vinyl so you’ll have to settle for CDs or MP3 downloads, one label was only able to give us CDs, and then there are the albums that were released for free that we’ll hook you up with ourselves. We’re also still working with other labels and artists to fill in those gaps but I think you’ll agree that at least 18 albums for free is a damn good prize.

To win all of the albums on our Best Of 2011 list (that we can get a hold of), all you have to do is one of the following:

• Twitter: Follow us and Retweet each new album that’s posted every day (so whenever you see our next album on the list has been posted, hit that little bird up there above the picture)
• Facebook: Share, Like, Comment on the album once it’s posted to Facebook (tell us what you thought of the album or if you think it deserved a higher/lower spot)

The more you Share and Retweet the more entries you get (as many as you want every day), however keep in mind that if you do it too much you’ll end up just spamming people and you might piss them off.

After the list is complete we’ll take a few days to go through all of the entries, pick a winner at random, get in touch with you, forward your information to each of the labels and artists taking part, and hopefully it won’t take too long for you to get your prizes.
