Phoenix Announce New Album ‘Bankrupt’

It’s already been confirmed that Phoenix will release their album this Spring, but now we have a title for the album.

The band just updated their website with a giant flashing banner (do not view it if you have epilepsy) and the words “PHOENIX BANKRUPT!”. I’m pretty sure they made enough money from Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix to live another six lives, so we know they’re not strapped for cash and looking for a few handouts. Looking at the source code of their homepage it shows that the audio running through the image is labeled as a “Bankrupt teaser”, so that should be confirmation enough.

It won’t be much longer until we hear a full-sized track from the album, with Spring only being a couple of months away, but head on over to their site to hear the first snippet, and check out their insatiable “Lisztomania” video from their last album below.
