Promote Your Music
If you’d like to promote a band or artist you’re more than welcome to send us any kind of music, whether it be digital (iPods filled with awesome music are always welcome!) or physical (vinyl will get you anything your little heart desires) and we do listen to everything we receive.
Before you send anything to us, please read these few pointers to make sure your email doesn’t get deleted or missed.
- DO: Send us links to stream your music on either Soundcloud, Bandcamp, or even MySpace if you have to.
- DON’T DON’T DON’T: Put all of your tracks in our Soundcloud dropbox, and THEN contact us. Just contact us and give us your Soundcloud page. Getting email after email that you’ve sent us 15 individual tracks is a quick way to piss us off.
- DON’T: Send us links to download your music in order for us to listen to it, regardless of whether it’s one song or an entire album (we will delete emails with links to downloads only).
- DO: Tell us which songs we can and can’t offer as either a free download or just a stream.
- DON’T: Attach songs in emails for us to listen to either, it’s more time-consuming and a pain in the ass for both of us.
- The first thing we look for is the above-mentioned link, so it doesn’t make a difference how much you write up or say, it only becomes relevant if we like your music because then we’ll go back and read what you have to say.
- Telling us how much you love the site is nice, but don’t say it because you think we’ll believe you and favour you more. Everyone gets a fair chance so just be honest.
Digital
- Email us at using the Contact Us page, with the details, as well as artwork if possible and which songs we can host.
Physical
- The only kind of physical music we’re interested in receiving is vinyl, so if you have vinyl you’d like to send us then use the Contact Us page and give us the details.
If you are an artist or represent an artist and would like a song or file removed from the site, please contact us via the Contact Us page and I’ll get rid of it. All music on this site is for promotional purposes only and is either freely available online (ie, released by the bands/labels themselves) or we have been given permission by the band/label to host the music.
