Listen to “Good Girl”, the debut single from Wildeflower, a new band from Surrey that has some pretty great harmonies going on.
With a new Grizzly Bear album reportedly in the works, “Silent Hour/Golden Mile” is a blessing for fans in need of a Rossen fix. Even though this isn’t Rossen’s most inventive work, he reminds listeners why he’s an integral part of Grizzly Bear and Department of Eagles while expanding his own repertoire.
The debut album from the group entitled Flights is the type of music that is fits a rainy day, with landscapes of acoustic longing and hopeful sighs.
When I first heard Spanish Prisoners, it was just a couple of tracks, and it didn’t quite click; fast forward a couple of months to me finally giving their whole album a listen, and everything started to make sense.
The first part of some anticipated albums for this coming year includes Alabama Shakes, Azealia Banks, The Beach Boys, Beach House, Fanfarlo, Frank Ocean, Grizzly Bear, Janelle Monaé, The Killers, Marques Toliver, The Miracals, Memoryhouse, MGMT, Michael Kiwanuka, Miike Snow, MIKA and the morning benders!
Bowerbirds just dropped this new track and you know damn well that it’s awesome!
What really sets Marques Toliver apart is that thereis nothing out there that sounds quite like him. Being classically trained has allowed him to find an incredible balance between composers like Bach and global pop/R’n’B superstars like Beyoncé or John Legend.

Listen to the gorgeous duet below, as well as watch [...]

His debut EP “Make Me” (released September 7th) displays a sophisticated soundscape conjuring soaring heart-on-your-sleeve prog pop one minute, the next getting back to basics with ambient get-up-and-dance joy. Young Yeller excels at crafting epic bedroom dream pop. “Make Me” rests nicely [...]

This post is a “QuickPick”. QuickPicks are my attempt at getting all of the music that’s sent to me that I like (or just music I like but have no words for because it’s so awesome), out into the dubya dots. Any time I get sent music that I like I “star” it in Gmail [...]
Chris Taylor, best known as producer and vocalist of acclaimed band Grizzly Bear, has brought to light his own solo project under the name CANT. This breathy, multi-instrumental layer cake of a track is a sample of what his upcoming album, “Dreams Come True”. Another major point in excitement: Twin Shadow‘s George Lewis Jr., has [...]
Something about summer always gets me thinking about songs that sound like summer, but I’m not the only one. Earlier today Tyler the Creator dropped his Summer Camp Mix on the Odd Future web site. The mix is full of tunes that just feel like heat rays beating down on you while you’re chilling on your backyard patio [...]
