Listen to the new Mumford & Sons song “Ghosts That We Knew” below.

Every couple of months or so Mumford & Sons seem to debut another new track without any word as to whether it’ll appear on the follow-up to their hugely well-received debut album “Sigh No More” or if they’re just throwaway tunes, and last time around it was July and they let us hear “Home”.

If they’re throwaways then these guys have got some real talent, and I can’t wait to hear some official new album shit, but for now I’m fine with these newbs. This new track was debuted on Philly’s Radio 104.5 yesterday and follows much in the same vein as tracks like “The Cave” and “Winter Winds”. Check out the video of their performance below.

Mumford & Sons have been a round for a couple of years now, playing gigs in and around London along with buddies of the same scene like Johnny Flynn and Noah And The Whale, but they’ve only just (October 2009) released their debut album “Sigh No More”.  Polarising critics (some saying their music is awful, some (most) saying it’s excellent) they’ve made an album that’s passionate and catchy, melodious and stomping, but most of all enjoyable.

I think I’m on an Indie-Folk kick lately as most of the bands I’m featuring seem to be in that kind of genre, but what the hell, the music’s awesome and that’s all that matters.
