Just recently wrapping up their Austrailian tour supporting Austra, Kool Thing have recently debuted their latest video for “Light Games”, directed by Claire Kurylowski.
The video, thoroughly immersed in the indie electro lesbian subculture of Berlin, is full of (in the words of the immortal Sally Bowles) divine decadence as only Berlin can foster, smoldering sensuality, and magical realism by a director to take note of in her own right. Intense and evocative, it is a video excellently establishing and working succintly with the aesthetic of the band.
In addition to their new video, Kool Thing have also released a three-track EP, “Light Games,” available to listen and download for free directly from their Bandcamp page. Yes you heard that right folks, “free”! We all love free stuff! Also included on the EP is “The Sign”, their first signature track.
Video for “The Sign” by Oskur (also NSFW, I do so love anything that can be considered “NSFW,” definitely much more than labeling something “NSFW”). Full of witchy, electro goodness, including an epic dance freakout by an amazing lady somewhere in an underground tunnel.
