Willy Moon is having quite the moment lately. After appearing in the ad for the latest iPod and an electrifying performance on Jools Holland a couple of weeks ago, he’s just released a new video for “Yeah Yeah”. I say “new” because back in April, the day before we named him One To Watch, another version had been released, though it’s since been removed.
In the video we see Willy, clad in his characteristic suit, dancing on a pedestal in a room filled with dancers. It’s not nearly as exciting as the original one, which was a bit of a mad scientist adventure, but the visual effect of the synchronized dancers is stunning. Not really surprising though, as it’s been directed by Alex Courtes, the same man that directed the video for The White Stripes‘ “Seven Nation Army” and designed Daft Punk‘s helmets.
Watch the video for “Yeah Yeah” below, and stay tuned because Willy Moon‘s debut album is expected at some point early next year. We’ve already got some surprised lined up for it.
