[Watch] – Burnt Ones Perform For Off The Beaten Tracks At SXSW

I keep going on about Burnt Ones and I’m beginning to think that I’m just annoying people now, but I genuinely cannot get enough of them.

When this was recorded by the excellent Edinburgh guys and gals and cats and dogs at Off The Beaten Tracks back in March, I hadn’t even heard of Burnt Ones yet.  It wasn’t long though until I discovered their fuzz-fueled, glam-rock-induced, Jesus & Mary Chain sound, bought their 7″, featured them on the site and then just hyped them up to anyone who would listen.

What you see and hear below are a world away from what they sound like on record, completely stripped down to just a guitar, some soft hand claps, and a tambourine.  They performed “Gonna Listen To T-Rex (All Night Long)” and “Sunset Hill”, and below you can see “Sunset Hill”, and check out Off The Beaten Tracks to see their debut single “Gonna Listen To T-Rex (All Night Long)”.

Their debut album “Golden Tongues & Black Teeth” is due out in July.
